Faith Is Expectancy Part II: The Art of Trusting, Preparing And Expecting
Have you ever experienced a deep-down certainty that something wonderful was on its way? Not just hope or wishful thinking, but a soul-level knowing? That feeling is expectancy—the true essence of faith.
In this powerful continuation of "Faith is Expectancy," we explore how to transform your relationship with manifestation by trusting before seeing, preparing as if your desires are already unfolding, and living from a place of relaxed certainty. Drawing from Neville Goddard's teachings, which state that "your inner assumptions create your outer world," we learn to reverse the conventional approach of needing to see before believing.
Through the compelling story of a woman who found love by preparing for it instead of merely asking for it, we witness expectancy in action. She cleared closet space, set a second place at her table, and wrote love notes to her future partner—and within months, she met her husband. This illustrates the profound difference between passive wishing and active faith.
The episode offers five practical strategies that you can implement today: preparing the way for your desires, speaking from a place of having rather than lacking, using the "feel it real" technique, recognizing synchronistic signs without demanding proof, and creating anchor phrases to maintain your certainty when doubts arise. Each strategy helps you embody the person who already possesses what you desire.
Most importantly, we explore how to utilize the moments before sleep—when your subconscious mind is most receptive—to plant the seeds of manifestation through vivid imagination and simple affirmation. Because faith isn't about waiting to see before you believe; it's about expecting to see because you already believe.

Now again, if you haven't had a chance to listen to part one of Faith is Expectancy, I encourage you to pause it right now and go listen to it first, as today's discussion will build upon that foundation.
Speaker 1:Now, in his book Faith is your Fortune, neville Goddard teaches that your inner assumptions, your inner knowing, is what creates your outer world. You don't wait to see things to believe it. You believe first and then you see it. But the question is, how do we live that way? How do we believe first and then see it, versus seeing it and then believing it? Well, that's what today's episode is all about the art of trusting the unseen, preparing as if it's already done and expecting miracles like they're your birthright, because the truth is they are.
Speaker 1:Now there's a story about a woman who wanted to be in a loving relationship. She was so determined to get into a relationship that she continued to pray, make affirmations and visualized herself being in such a loving relationship. Well, one day she heard something so profound it changed everything for her, and that was stop asking for love and start preparing for it. Now, upon hearing that she cleared out spaces in her closet, she set a second place at her dining table, started writing love notes to her future partner and moved as if love had already been in her life. Well, three months later she met the man who would become her husband. Now that is expectancy in action. Ask yourself, who would I be if this desire were already mine? Start being that person right now.
Speaker 1:The Bible describes faith in this manner Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. That means the moment you feel the reality of your desire before it's physical, it already exists. It's like placing an order at your favorite restaurant. You don't doubt the kitchen, you don't follow the waiter around, you don't sit there in anxiousness wondering if the food will show up. You expect it and because you expect it, you relax. So let me ask you when you imagine your dream, whether it's for a healed body, a loving relationship or that next level of purpose are you approaching it with a relaxed expectancy or with anxiousness and desperation?
Speaker 1:The difference between the two is significant. In his book Faith is your Fortune, neville emphasizes that the key to faith is a persistent assumption. Assumption essentially means an embodied belief, the state of knowing it's done, which influences how we move, speak and live from that understanding. Now here's the beautiful twist that most people miss you don't wait for evidence before you believe. You believe, and the evidence comes as a natural echo of your inner world. So how do we practice this in real life? How do we walk in faith and not fear? Well, let me share five practical strategies to help you start trusting, preparing and expecting.
Speaker 1:Strategy number one is to prepare the way. Let me give you the scenario Now. Suppose you got a call from a friend or family member notifying you that they were going to be visiting in town and they wanted to stop by to see you. You wouldn't wait until they showed up at your door. You would start preparing for their arrival, wouldn't you? Well, in the same manner, you would start preparing for their arrival, wouldn't you? Well, in the same manner, you should start preparing for your desires like it's already unfolding Want to move to a new city? Start researching the home or the apartment that you're looking for. Want to write a book? Start blocking out time in your calendar to write.
Speaker 1:Strategy number two is to speak from the state of having or possessing what you desire, and not struggle. What do I mean? You see, the words we speak carry frequency. So stop talking about what's missing and start speaking from what's manifesting in your life. Instead of saying I'm tired of being single, say I love how my life is preparing me for that beautiful partner. Now, this is not delusion, it's a declaration. Strategy number three is what Neville calls feel it real. Now, this technique requires that you dedicate at least five to ten minutes daily to make the end result feel real daily. To make the end result feel real, meaning close your eyes and imagine the scene. That would only be true if your desire had already happened. Feel it, see it, touch it in your mind and let the emotion of that fulfillment move through your body. Now, that's the energy that creates worlds through your body. Now, that's the energy that creates worlds Now.
Speaker 1:Strategy number four is to watch for signs, not proof. Often, when you live with expectancy, you'll notice small signs, like conversations, synchronicities or dreams. Now, don't ignore them. These are hints from the universe indicating that the bridge of incidents is forming. But don't demand proof, for when we demand proof, it only pulls us back into doubt. Finally, strategy number five is to create an anchor phrase. Sometimes our mind slips and doubt sneaks in, and when that happens, you should have a phrase that you can return to Something like it's done, or this or something better is unfolding, and then, finally, I trust the timing of my life. These simple phrases ground us back into knowing.
Speaker 1:Now, as we wrap up this episode, let me leave you with this thought Success in any endeavor requires faith, and true faith is expectancy. Now, you didn't just stumble onto this podcast by chance, and you're not listening because you're weak or broken. You're here because your soul is prepared, ready to walk in a new purpose, to believe in a new way and to live as the person who has already possessed what you once longed for. You see, faith is not about waiting to see before you believe. Faith is expecting to see because you already believe. Faith is expecting to see because you already believe. What if you stop asking when will it happen? And instead ask how can I align with it now? What if you walk through the week as if the prayer has already been answered? Because the truth is it has. You just haven't caught up to it yet, but you will. So here's what I invite you to do tonight Right before bed close your eyes and imagine one scene, one beautiful, vivid moment that represents your dream fulfilled.
Speaker 1:It could be a hug, a phone call or a sunset walk. Make it real. Or a sunset walk? Make it real, feel it in your body, smile into it, let your heart say yes and as you drift off to sleep, simply whisper to yourself it is done. Remember the subconscious mind is most impressionable right before sleep. That's when the seeds take root. You're not hoping anymore, you're trusting, you're preparing and you're expecting, because faith is expectancy and your inner world, it's creating miracles already. Well, that's our show for today.
